Is it October already!!!???

I cant believe its October already. I am busy working on ormaments for the shop... and I just finished these cupcakes made from paper mache balls, scrapbooking paper felt and glittery pompoms ! They were really fun... now its on to the felt snomen and penguins... These are the first few... then on to birds, bears and maybe some fish, dogs and cats...

A hectic summer ends...

A very hectic summer indeed. I traveled back and forth from Fresno to Monterey all summer, 1 week in each place. Now Im back in Monterey, settled into the routine of school and work, and being way more productive with my art than I did all summer??? My Etsy store has 10 New products, lots were requests from teachers. Ive made 20 really cute halloween hairbows to take to the shop in Pacific Grove, and Ive sewn 4 new lunch totes also. My goal for the Month of September is to not buy any supplies, and to have 200 clipart sets in my etsy shop.

Easter Break

My week off is almost over! Ive been busy sewing, panting and adding art to my digital clipart shop on etsy. I spent the morning REALLY looking at my plan for summer. I have a small re-model in Watosnville to help with this summer, My space at Blessings in PG to keep stocked and my Etsy stores to keep rolling. Everything takes time... this week was sort of a dry run for summer.. to see what I could actually complete in a few days, what I needed to do to stay on track etc. Im ADD so I have a hard time staying focused when there is no deadline or time restraint on me. I did pretty good, Monday was errand running, supply buying, groceries etc. and it took all day. Tuesday and Wednesday I really focused on product, finishing 4 dresses, 2 hooded towels and some coat racks to take to Blessings. Every morning for about an hour I work on art for digital clipart... this is working out perfectly I finished 4 sets this week. So today is errand day again... My sewing machine is in dire need of an overall cleaning and adjustment, so Im taking it in... got a tire fixed on my car and will see what I need to complete the remainder of my projects and make sure I go get the supplies I need. Today is also delivery day for Blessing... I try to get stuff in the store before the weekend. So really it looks like tuesday, wednesday and Friday are real production days... Monday and Thursday are Errand days...

Fun fun fun! I had a blast drawing these sweet little houses for my etsy shop... available in a few different color combos. I can totally see these on greeting cards, shopping lists, and even little art prints .... endless!

Who IS my audience

so Ive had these old wool sweaters for over a year... and FINALLY last weekend I started cutting and sewing! I made these little monster wallets for Blessings in Pacific Grove. I was at t he store on Saturday working when I caught a 17 year old BOY digging through them. I thought what the heck???? So I asked him if I could help him...He had his ipod out and was trying each one to see if it woud fit in the wallets.... he was almost frantic!!!! So we looked together and finally settled on the Green one in the photo. He said this was the coolest Ipod cover and that I needed to make them for Iphones too. What a lesson I learned... I was targeting a MUCH younger audience with these (7 yr old boys NOT 17yr olds!) That night Iwipped out some iphone monsters and took them in. Already sold 3!
